JOB DESCRIPTION – QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN – UNION POSITION

Harrington Pepsi of Butte is currently looking for a full-time Quality Control Technician in Butte, Montana. Position works in a team environment during the day. This position mainly involves testing and maintaining water quality, product quality, and sanitary production conditions to meet the standards of a food plant. Production workers produce beverage products that meet all food safety standards. We are looking for motivated and responsible individuals with a strong work ethic, good people skills, and the ability and ambition to move up.

SALARY: Starting at $18 per hour DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Ensure equipment and laboratory practices are properly followed.
  • Calibrate, certify, and operate all laboratory equipment necessary to perform quality tests as required.
  • Collect and analyze beverage samples for Brix, T.A, pH, CO2, torque, fill heights, taste, odor, and appearance as required.
  • Ensures all oPRP’s are followed prior to Production.
  • Records all daily production findings.
  • Works with a skilled manufacturing team to make products that meet and/or exceed required food production standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted and occasionally exert force up to 50 pounds to lift and/or move objects with the aid of a manual lifting device
  • Ability to work on your feet most of the day
  • Good written and verbal skills and basic math skills required
  • Will request applicant to successfully pass drug test, background check and functional abilities test
  • This position is a union position with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers

Work Hours: 7 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Overtime is expected, especially in the summer months
